Days of Our Lives actor Cody Longo, 34, was found dead at his home near Dallas, Texas.
The cause of death is unknown.
Cody Longo, the actor best known internationally for playing Nicholas “Nikki” Alamain on the daytime soap opera ‘Days of our lives’, passed away at the age of 34, according to CNN. The actor was found at home in Texas, US, on Wednesday and died on the spot. The police were called for by the actor’s wife, Stephanie Longo, while she was working at a local dance studio.
Stephanie Longo said that Cody was her world, as reported by The Penny Hoarder. “The children are broken and shattered, and we are devastated. He was the best dad and the best father. We will never forget and love you always,” added she, per the report.
The cause of his death is unknown. Talking to CNN, Alex Gittelson, Mr Longo’s agent, told NBC News that the actor was “a dear friend going back many years” before he was a client. Mr Gittelson also revealed that the “Days of Our Lives” star took time off to pursue his music career and enjoy time with family but was pleased to get back to acting.
“Cody was such a loyal, loving and talented person and he will be greatly missed,” Mr Gittelson said.
According to Variety magazine, actor Cody Longo appeared in various popular television shows, including “Medium,” “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” and “CSI: New York.” He also appeared in the horror movie Piranha 3D. He was most famous for playing the role of Nicholas Alamain on the soap opera “Days of Our Lives” for eight years in 2011.
In addition to acting, Mr Longo also released singles “She Said” and “Electric.” Shortly before his death, the actor was currently affiliated with director David Moreton’s upcoming feature-length film, “Do you Want to Die in Indio?”
According to his IMDb page, Mr. Longo was born in Colorado and studied psychology and film at the University of California, Los Angeles. He began his acting career in 2009 and has since appeared in several films and television shows. He also played in a band whose song “She Said” reached #2 on the Billboard charts in 2014.
